DC-Power Set 

This standalone complete package works independently of the public electricity grid and provides a very efficient and inexpensive 12 V DC power supply for everyday electrical appliances.
 

Design and function of the DC-Power Set: 

The three components solar generator, charge controller and battery are the core of the DC Power Set. 

The PV electricity generated by the solar generator is stored in the battery via a Steca charge controller. This also has the task of protecting the battery against deep discharge or overcharging. Consequently, the intelligent charging technology guarantees a long battery 

The existing package is designed so that the system can be extended at any time by adding another solar module. The system can also be changed to AC by installing an additional inverter. The system can thus be extended to a nominal output of 150Wp with no problem whatsoever.

Available energy with the DC Power Set 

The yield from a PV installation depends to a large extent on its location. Because of the weather during the winter months in Central Europe the system does not provide a constant energy output. The situation is different if the system is operated in a region with more sunlight. 

When the system is operated without any electrical appliances connected, the power generated by the solar generator is stored in the battery. The maximum power in the battery is 228 Wh (available power at 50% max. charge).
